Benefits of tDCS

TheBrainDriver allows for output control from 0.5 mA to 2.0 mA.
For those who are unaware, a new method of brain stimulation (neurostimulation) has recently gained a great deal of positive attention from neurologists and members of the health and wellness community. It’s called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS).
So, how does tDCS work? It’s all about using electrical currents to stimulate certain regions of the brain. With two electrodes placed over the head, a low-intensity current is passed between them. As these currents move through the brain, certain neurological signals are modulated. These neural modulations may in turn have in impact on certain behaviors or behavioral patterns.
It’s important to realize that this is a relatively new and cutting-edge technology. While much is still to be uncovered about the long and short-term effects of tDCS, some recipients have reported easier access to feelings of inner calm and relaxation after using TheBrainDriver.
As far as safety is concerned, one study claims “There are no reported indications of any serious adverse effects with the use of 1–2 mA tDCS. (Arul-Anandam et al., 2009) However, mild temporary side effects may occur, such as headache, a cutaneous sensation at the stimulation sites, moderate fatigue, redness of the skin under the electrode pad, difficulty concentrating, acute mood changes and nausea.”1*
