Description

  • Premium quality, great-tasting Echo Antioxidant Water, also known as hydrogen water, from the comfort of your home.
  • Hydrogen water has displayed antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support across numerous scientific studies.
  • Echo hydrogen module achieves pH neutrality and -400 to -500mv ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential).
  • The most compact and affordable of Echo’s under sink technology.
  • Ideal for households with pre-existing filtration or reverse osmosis systems.

How Does the Echo H2 Server Work?

As the newest addition to Echo’s line of under sink technology, the Echo H2 Server is designed to provide premium quality Echo Antioxidant Water, even from the smallest cupboard space. It’s all thanks to the proprietary Echo hydrogen module which is capable of pumping pH neutral hydrogen water at 1.3 litres per minute.

The principal difference between this unit and the Echo H2 Machine is that it does not possess its own filtration unit. This makes it the ideal for households with established filtration or reverse osmosis systems.

Also, unlike the Echo H2 Machine, the Echo H2 Server requires a faucet for dispensing H2 water. This can be achieved with a pre-existing reverse osmosis faucet, or with the Echo H2 Server Faucet.

Free Radicals, Oxidative Stress and Molecular Imbalance

For one to truly appreciate the health benefits of drinking hydrogen water, it is essential for them to understand the depth of health risks posed by free radicals and oxidative stress.

A free radical is any atom which is missing an electron from its outermost shell. This missing electron provides an empty space which can be filled by bonding with an electron on the shell of a separate atom.1

Free radicals within the human body will always seek an electron to pair with. This creates a serious imbalance at a molecular level due to the fact that free radicals are capable of pairing with electrons in molecules with otherwise full and balanced shells. When these molecules have one of their electrons removed, they will become free radicals as well and search for electrons from more stable atoms. This chain-reaction of electron imbalance is often referred to as oxidative stress.

While the threat of oxidative stress is a serious one for numerous bodily systems and functions, the human body does come equipped with an innate system for neutralizing the spread of oxidative stress: antioxidant activity. Antioxidants are uniquely capable of lending an electron to a free radical without becoming destabilized itself, thus putting an end to the vicious chain reaction.

When the body possesses enough antioxidant activity to counter its load of free radicals at any given time, oxidative stress will not be able to develop in such a significant manner.2

Hydrogen Water for Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Support

Many people have become familiar with antioxidants derived from colorful fruits and vegetables. While plant-based antioxidants are extremely valuable to human health, they’re not the end-all-be-all. In fact, hydrogen water may be the most potent source of antioxidant activity available to the human body. Conveniently, this antioxidant source can be generated within the comforts of your own home!

Those who think this sounds too good to be true may now be wondering: what does clinical research have to say about the antioxidant properties of hydrogen water? Quite a lot actually! As of writing this, there have been over 700 studies regarding the health benefits of hydrogen water. Of those studies, a very large percentage are focused primarily on antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.

One prominent piece of research comes in the form of a 2010 open label pilot study which was conducted on 20 subjects over the course of 8-weeks at KGK Synergize, Inc., London ON, Canada. The intent of this study was to evaluate the effects of regular hydrogen water consumption on the activity of superoxide dismutase, one of the most important antioxidant enzymes for human. This was achieved by monitoring oxidative stress markers such as complete blood count, creatinine, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine transaminase, gamma glutamyl transferase, bilirubin, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and fasting glucose. The results indicated a 39% increase in antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase.3

Because of the tightly-knit interrelationship between oxidative stress to inflammation, it logically follows that numerous studies have also indicated H2 water’s potential for providing significant anti-inflammatory support.*4,5
