Only the lubricants (Carboxymethylcellulose sodium) and (glycerin) are approved by the FDA for ophthalmic use, and can be listed as active ingredients on our label. Can-C™ is not FDA approved for the treatment of cataracts therefore N-Acetylcarnosine (1%) is listed as an inactive ingredient on the label.
