Research indicates older adults do not have adequate levels of zinc in their diet.15 Supplementation in both young and old adults may support quite a few aspects of human health.

OptiZinc is a proprietary, highly bioavailable form of zinc. Studies have shown that zinc methionate (the ingredient in OptiZinc) has a higher absorption rate than ordinary zinc.13,14

Zinc (as OptiZinc® zinc monomethionine, zinc citrate) 50 mg
Other Ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable cellulose (capsule), vegetable stearate, silica.

Dosage and Use:

  • Take one capsule daily with or without food, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.

Caution: Supplemental zinc can inhibit the absorption and availability of copper. If more than 50 mg of supplemental zinc is taken daily, 2 mg of supplemental copper should also be taken to prevent deficiency. Chronic ingestion of more than 100 mg of zinc daily may be immunosuppressive.
