Berea is an ancient city of Greece that was a part of the old Roman Empire. The Apostle Paul traveled to that city during one of his missionary journeys. In the scriptures, the people of that city are mentioned in a very positive light. “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” They were complimented very highly because they not only accepted the teaching of the apostle, but they did their own personal research to check out what he said. Let’s look at how we can apply this principle to our personal health.
Our world today is filled with all kinds of information from books, the internet and various other sources. Learning is good and a wise Hebrew king once said “A wise man will hear, and will increase learning.” It has been said only believe half of what you hear and a wise man knows which half to believe.
Do your home and check things out for yourself as you objectively analyze things. Sometimes what you hear or read will not hold up to the light of your research. Your family’s health is too important so be diligent in your research.
The reason we should seek the truth and information about health is so we can use it in our own life. Knowing the right information is only the first step we take and we should put it to practice in our personal life.
Your example and information you provide to other people can be a great help and encouragement. Your personal diligence will benefit yourself as well as others.
Be determined that you are going to use the information to promote good health and healthy habits in your life. You should only deal with companies that sell quality supplements and get your food from quality sources. Other than God no one will have your best interests at heart more than you do. My desire is to see you reach your health goals. If you will use these basic principles in your life it can help you physically and spiritually.
