Our curriculum will cover the 11 areas that are most critical for treatment on a bi-weekly, session by session basis. Our focus areas are as follows:

  1. Multivitamins
  2. Omega – 3 Fatty Acids
  3. Coenzyme Q10
  4. Mitochondrial Function
  5. Hormone Balance (DHEA)
  6. Brain Function
  7. Bone Health
  8. Neural and Hepatic Health
  9. Vitamin D Levels
  10. Vitamin K
  11. Men’s & Women’s Health

Session 5: Hormone Balance (DHEA):

As the session title hints, DHEA plays an important role with regards to the hormone balance in the body. For men, this means that DHEA supports testosterone production, and for women, estrogen. Because your body’s natural production of DHEA peaks in your mid-20s, you want to include DHEA in your supplement regimen as you age as your DHEA production starts to gradually decline.

Since DHEA, often called the “Mother of All Hormones,” is the precursor to several hormones including testosterone and estrogen, DHEA supplementation in both men and women is common. It is important to have adequate levels of DHEA in order to balance hormone levels. The benefits of DHEA are abundant, and it plays an important part in your anti-aging fight. Some studies have pointed to joint health, depression relief, an increase in sex drive, and higher levels of DHEA-S as products of proper DHEA supplementation. The benefits don’t stop there, as DHEA can also benefit memory, mood, EEG readings, and supplementation may help in part to prevent Alzheimer’s disease! The list goes on and on, but you get the idea.
